My mom bought me this amazing thing for my birthday. It’s a five year diary with 366 pages—each page has spaces for five days. It’s a great gift because the person who receives it will think of the giver every day for five years (that is, unless they lose it—Ana!)

“This five year diary can be started on any day of any year. Just turn to the current date, fill in the year and write a few sentences about your day. When you get to the end of the year move down the page to the next section. As time goes by you will be able to read past entries as you write new ones. In the back you will find pages to log the titles and authors of books you have read.”

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. It’s been about 4 years and 4 months on tumblr. We just broke a pretty meaningful milestone, follower-wise. The milestone itself isn’t nearly as meaningful as the realization that we’ve spent a very decent amount of time on this site and met quite a few really great people. Tumblr has been a rare time-suck in that it has actually helped us grow creatively and stay sharp, all the while providing many useful alternate viewpoints and opinions. And in those ways, it has played a pretty big role in both of our lives, online and off.

For that, we are pretty damn grateful.
